About Leadership Cleveland
Leadership Cleveland empowers recognized, senior-level positional leaders with knowledge, skills and relationships to advance and deepen their community impact through:
> A highly interactive, intentionally designed leadership curriculum that features civic, political and business leaders.
> Developing a broader and more diverse network of leaders.
> Opportunities to address key community issues through collaborative civic engagement.
Participants in this dynamic 10-month program represent a diverse group of recognized and established senior-level leaders from across a wide variety of organizations representing the private, nonprofit, and government sectors.
The program, started in 1977 through the former Greater Cleveland Growth Association, became one of four civic leadership programs that merged operations in 2006 to create the Cleveland Leadership Center. Approximately 65 leaders are chosen annually through a highly competitive selection process.
Upon graduation, they remain connected with each other, and with more than 1,600 others who proudly count themselves among Leadership Cleveland alumni and whose organizations benefit from their ongoing affiliation. Many LC alumni participate in the year-long LC2 Fellows program, which is for those interested in gaining deeper understanding of the city's challenges and rolling up their sleeves to search for and define solutions.
