Leadership Action Projects (LAPs) are community-based initiatives that receive focused attention from a cross-sector team of civic leaders enrolled in Cleveland Bridge Builders. Successful projects are well-defined and have a targeted outcome. Eight or nine projects are selected each year through a request for proposal process.

LAPs serve as learning labs for Cleveland Bridge Builders, a group of mid-career professionals who spend a year immersed in civic leadership training. LAPs enable them to immediately apply newly learned skills and approaches to civic leadership while contributing to the community and incorporating service learning into their program experience. For nonprofits chosen to provide LAPs, the experience results in a unique way to advance their mission.

Any nonprofit or community organization in Greater Cleveland can submit a LAP proposal. The request for proposals for the Leadership Action Projects is available May and completed proposals are due in June.
