Behind the Scenes: U.S. Coast Guard Station Cleveland Harbor

Please consider joining us for the unique and rare opportunity to get a tour of the U.S. Coast Guard Station Cleveland Harbor and Marine Safety Unit (MSU) Cleveland. Rear Admiral June Ryan (LC 2017) will join us to make brief remarks about the units' responsibilities, and her position as the Commander of the Great Lakes region (Coast Guard District 9). There will be interactive displays and an opportunity for you to meet the crews who carry-out these missions every day. U.S. Coast Guard Cleveland Harbor

     Join us for breakfast and networking, the cost is $25.

     Beginning at 8:30 a.m., join us for the tour of Station Cleveland Harbor and the MSU, which is free of charge. 

*Please note, due to Coast Guard security procedures, you must be registered by May 30. No registrations can be accepted after that date.*

About U.S. Coast Guard Station Cleveland Harbor
The station is situated on Lake Erie, along the old War World II era piers on East Ninth Street in Cleveland, Ohio. The unit has been located at this site since 1976 and has been engaged in Search and Rescue efforts on the Great Lakes since the times of the U.S. Lifesaving Service dating back to 1875.

About Rear Admiral June Ryan
Rear Admiral Ryan is the senior Coast Guard Commander for the Great Lakes and Saint Lawrence Seaway, an area that encompasses eight states, a 1,500-mile international border, and a workforce of over 6,000 Coast Guard active duty, reserve, civilian and auxiliary men and women. She previously served as Military Advisor to the Secretary of Homeland Security and as the Military Aide to the President – becoming only the third woman in U.S. history to do so. Her personal awards include two Defense Superior Service Medals, three Legion of Merits, six Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medals, two Coast Guard Commendation Medals, among others.
