and the Opioid Crisis

Save the date for the 2nd annual From Research to Recovery meeting, a collaborative event focused on racial disparities and the opioid crisis.

April 17-18, 2020
Case Western Reserve University
Linsalata Alumni Center

Cleveland, OH 44106
Our meeting brings together leading healthcare professionals, physicians, judges, social scientists, individuals with substance use disorder, criminal justice reform activists, policy experts, and diversity and inclusion advocates to discuss equity in the health sector and criminal justice system.

Our goal with this meeting is to create meaningful conversations and collaborations to address the structural racism preventing communities of color from receiving treatment, recovery, and wrap around social services for opioid and other substance use disorders. Our speakers will be showcasing evidence-based research and data from a range of urban and state contexts to provide ideas and strategies for broad-spectrum policy change both nationally and in the State of Ohio.
