The Story of Anansi the Spider (pre-k to grade 3) – Karamu House

An interactive storytelling adventure of the great African folklore story

For students in grades Pre-K through 3, join us for an interactive story of “Anansi the Spider,”an African folklore story.

The stories of Anansi the Spider originate from the Asante people of Ghana and has orally been passed down over generations. He is a rogue, a mischief maker, and a wise, lovable creature who triumphs over larger foes.

Join Karamu House for this FREE “In the Tradition” program to celebrate Black History Month. Our “In the Tradition” community program series features free and culturally-specific offerings that speak directly to the African American experience throughout the year, including MLK Day, Kwanzaa, and Juneteenth, among others.
