Bethia shared an overview of The Fund and their work and gave an overview of their Strengthening Workplaces initiative. She covered some of the Where Are The Workers? survey results, including factors that increased/decreased staff retention and barriers to employment. She also discussed their new initiative to help companies retain workers by connecting potential solutions that are working in other markets with local employers who are willing to try them.

Michael discussed the recent history and current state of Northeast Ohio’s economic growth and what economic competitiveness means. He shared our region’s advantages and challenges and the keys to the future of NEO’s economic future.

Edwin shared a brief history of the Cleveland branch of the NAACP, what the organization does, and his vision for the branch. He discussed a few recent and upcoming events, including the branch’s major fundraising event, the Freedom Fund Dinner, as well as engaging youth, the critical work of their volunteers.

Michelle discussed Jobs Ohio’s funding, providers, governance, and the services they provide to job seekers and employers. She shared their three areas of strategic focus, as well as opportunities for collaboration.

Andy dicussed the biggest cyber security threats, the risk factors, and how to mitigate those risks. He shared the current environment of increasing regulation of organizational cyber security policies and insurance. He shared some of the issues facing the cyber security industry and how businesses can become more “cyber resilient.”
