His initiatives through Aurora Ventures span various sectors, including consumer goods and real estate, with a focus on social impact and community revitalization.
Kumar discussed the importance of collaboration in Cleveland’s entrepreneurial landscape and advocated for larger organizations to support smaller businesses. He provided an overview of his transformative arts project, which includes activations that promote local talent and address social issues. Reflecting on his proudest achievements, including the success of his clothing brand Ilthy. He also acknowledged the challenges of entrepreneurship, exemplified by those he faced during the launch of Trust Foods.

She highlighted some of the key attractions and noted some of the community events that they host. Goss also discussed the burial services offered, emphasizing affordability and the availability of pre-need arrangements to help families secure burial spaces in advance.
Kathy addressed operational dynamics, balancing funeral privacy with community engagement through tours and events, and detailed their green burial practices. She clarified misconceptions about the cemetery’s clientele, noting its diverse urban community representation. She also announced plans to repurpose historic buildings into a celebration center for community events, reinforcing Lakeview’s positive impact on visitors.

Sandee also discussed the new SEED campus, which is an innovative, multifunctional space for education and community engagement.

CentroVilla25: Culture, Community, and Commerce
Jenice Contreras, Executive Director, Northeast Ohio Hispanic Center for Economic Development (NEOHCED)
Jenice discussed NEOHCED’s mission to support entrepreneurs at various stages of their business journeys. The center serves over 2,000 entrepreneurs annually through its Minority Business Assistant Center, offering free services accessible to all, regardless of language or ethnicity.
She shared the inspiration for CentroVilla25, which aims to address investment disparities in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood. She provided an overview of the decade-long process and challenges in bringing it life. Jenice emphasized the importance of partnerships and community support in realizing her vision for a culturally appropriate space.
CentroVilla25, which opened in January, serves as a community hub featuring eight micro-retailer kiosks offering diverse foods and retail spaces, along with plans for outdoor activities. She also discussed the establishment of a volunteer program to enhance visitor engagement and the need for a redevelopment model that prioritizes existing residents to prevent displacement.

Root for Women at The W
Ally Eclarin, Co-Owner, The W Sports Bar & State Champs
Ally shared her background and her commitment to promoting women’s sports. She highlighted the successful pitch to investors that secured funding for the bar, emphasizing the growing interest in women’s sports and the demand for a dedicated venue in Cleveland. The bar aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for all sports fans, with a focus on community engagement and celebrating female athletes through its decor and events.
She provided insights into the bar’s family-friendly environment and inclusive menu that caters to various dietary needs. She discussed plans for interactive experiences inspired by other sports venues. Ally also shared the challenges faced during the launch, as well as the economic challenges the bar has encountered, particularly fluctuations in patronage during different months and the adaptations they are implementing as a result. She emphasized the importance of building authentic relationships with local sports teams and the community, which has fostered a supportive network.
