Korin Green

Korin Green is a dedicated professional with a passion for economic development and empowering women in business. She holds a degree from Cleveland State University, where she honed her skills and knowledge in nonprofit administration. With a strong background in community development, Korin has made a significant impact as the Director of the Women’s Business Center of Northern Ohio at the Women’s Business Center of the Economic Community Development Institute (ECDI) for the past three years.

In her role, Korin has spearheaded various programs and initiatives, specifically targeting the Northern market. Her strategic approach and exceptional leadership have enabled her to drive meaningful change and provide valuable resources and support to aspiring female entrepreneurs. Korin’s commitment to fostering growth and success in the business community has earned her recognition for her outstanding contributions.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Korin embraces her role as a sports mom and cherishes quality time with her two children. She values the importance of work-life balance and seamlessly manages her personal and professional commitments.

Korin Green continues to make a significant impact in the field of economic community development, empowering women in business, and positively influencing the Northern market. Her dedication, expertise, and passion are instrumental in driving growth and fostering an inclusive and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

    EPISODE 11: EPISODE 11: Pickleball: A Sport for Legacy Leaders

    Rick Warsinskey an avid pickleball player and who is Pickleball Ambassador for Northeast Ohio shares his love for the sport of Pickleball. Rick started playing Pickleball in early 2019 a few months after he retired from the Social Security Administration. As Pickleball Ambassador he publishes a newsletter and two guides that share where to find Pickleball courts around Northeast Ohio.

    Rick started playing Pickleball in early 2019 a few months after he retired from the Social Security Administration. Rick had a 43-year career with the Social Security of which the last 23 were as the Manager of the Downtown Cleveland Office.

    Rick served as the President of the National Council of Social Security Management Associations twice totally 4 years. He testified before Congress 9 times. He has a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Akron and a Masters in Political Science from the University of Madison.

    Rick is an officer in a number of organizations including being President of his Condo Association of 72 units in Naples Florida. Rick is an avid pickleball player and is a Pickleball Ambassador for  Northeast Ohio.

    Rick who is a native of Akron, has lived in Lakewood Ohio for the past 31 years.  He and his wife Barb have been married for 39 years. He has two children and grandchildren.

    Charles discussed how he has stayed motivated to remain involved in the community at a high level since his retirement. He touched on his work within the legal system and his continuing work in the social justice realm. Charles talked about what he likes best about his “encore” and shared advice for helping those approaching their “encore” to find their purpose and their passion.

    Mr. Charles R. See is the former Vice President of the Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry in Cleveland, Ohio and was the Executive Director of the Ministry’s Community Re-Entry Program.  He was a member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice and the past Vice President of the Cleveland chapter of the national organization.

    Mr. See has been involved in providing community-based corrections programs for youth and adults for more than 44 years.  In 1985 he was awarded the Cleveland Bar Association’s prestigious Liberty Bell Award for his outstanding accomplishments in the field of criminal justice.  In 1997 See was selected by the Citizens’ League as one of 100 outstanding citizens for his contributions to the government and civic life of Greater Cleveland over the last century.

    EPISODE 9: Peter Lawson Jones: “His Next Acts”

    Peter shared highlights from his diverse experiences in acting, law, politics, and playwriting. He discussed the importance of pursuing one’s passions and staying committed to creativity and personal growth and being engaged in a variety of endeavors. He talked about the value of fearlessness, trusting instincts, and maintaining a youthful perspective as one transitions through different acts in life. He also shared a couple of recent and upcoming projects in film and theater and provided inspiration and advice for those embarking on their own encore journeys.

    Peter Lawson Jones
    Peter Lawson Jones is an attorney, business consultant, professional actor and master of ceremonies, dramatist and former elected official. From February 2002, through December 2010, Jones, a graduate of Harvard College (magna cum laude in Government) and Harvard Law School, was a member of the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners, and its president for three of those years. He previously served two and one-half terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, where he was the ranking member of the House Finance and Appropriations Committee and second vice president of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus. Jones was formerly the Vice Mayor and a Councilman in the City of Shaker Heights, Ohio.

    Angela Huckabee is a retired educator of 32 years! She has a passion for teaching and learning. After her husband’s diagnosis of Parkinson’s, she began to educate herself on the disease. She is a Parkinson’s Foundation Research Advocate, and PD Mover.
