Scholarships
Cleveland Leadership Center (CLC) is fortunate to be able to underwrite program tuition to make its programs more accessible to a broad range of applicants. Generous donors have provided funding to help prevent tuition from being a barrier to participation for any program.
Scholarship awards are offered with acceptance to a class. Prospective applicants are encouraged to talk with program directors to get more information about scholarships. All conversations are confidential and scholarship requests do not factor in the selection process.
See CLC’s wide array of programs and offerings.
Scholarship Funds include:
General scholarships
Generous alumni and community leaders regularly make contributions to support scholarships that are available for any program, including Leadership Cleveland, Cleveland Bridge Builders, OnBoard Cleveland, Advanced Leadership Institute, and Civic Leadership Institute.
The George Gund Foundation scholarships
Through the generosity of The George Gund Foundation, CLC can offer scholarships to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, Asian, and other People of Color) candidates from the nonprofit and public sectors for any program, including Leadership Cleveland, Cleveland Bridge Builders, OnBoard Cleveland, Advanced Leadership Institute, and Civic Leadership Institute.
Leadership Cleveland scholarships
Income from an endowment established at the Cleveland Foundation in 1999 by Leadership Cleveland alumni provides an annual source of scholarship funding. Only available for Leadership Cleveland.
Cleveland Bridge Builders scholarships
Each graduating Cleveland Bridge Builders (CBB) class is invited to contribute to a scholarship fund that was established by the CBB 10th Anniversary Committee in 2010. Over time many other CBB alumni have contributed to the fund to pay forward their own experience. Only available for Cleveland Bridge Builders.
