Organization Development Leader, Oswald Companies
Melanie Myers is passionate about Leadership and Organizational Development that inspires people to build legacies of positive impact and change in their organizations, communities, and personal lives. She is a self-proclaimed bridge builder, doer, and game changer in the spaces she occupies, using her passion for team and organizational impact to spark positive change and thriving organizations. Melanie has a master’s degree in Positive Organizational Development and Change (MPOD) from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). She has valuable fieldwork experience and confidence in designing, strategizing, implementing, and evolving interventions in areas like Inclusive Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Team Effectiveness, Appreciative Inquiry, Sustainable Flourishing Enterprises, and Coaching with Compassion.
Her current role is an Organization Development Leader at Oswald Companies, one of the nation’s largest independent, employee-owned insurance brokerage firms. She supports program/project management, culture driving initiatives, and development programs by bringing an OD lens to streamline and execute robust organizational offerings. In partnership with Human Resources, Executives, and Senior Leadership, she leads employee engagement and leadership development approaches and supports all intervention implementation with data and organizational psychology. She also drives the firm’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging efforts and earned her Distinguished Master Certification in Inclusive Leadership from Weatherhead School of Management at CWRU. She is the lead strategist and advisor to Oswald’s DEIB Advisory Council and sponsor, advisor, and member for the organization’s four Employee-Owner Resource Groups (ERGs).
In the community, Melanie is a speaker, CLC Cleveland Bridge Builder Alum (c/o 2025 – Best Class Ever!), an honoree of Engage! Cleveland’s 25 in 25, certified in the Global OD Competency FrameworkTM, member of the OD Network, CIAB Diversity Advisory Council Member, and recently joined the CLC’s Cleveland Leadership Council. Outside of her career, she is a wife, mom, nature lover, brunch connoisseur, and international travel enthusiast.
