2022 cohorts of Cleveland Bridge Builders, OnBoard Cleveland named

Cleveland Leadership Center preparing leaders at all levels

The Cleveland Leadership Center, recognizing the importance of preparing, connecting, and inspiring leaders at all levels to work for a better region, has selected the 2022 cohorts of its Cleveland Bridge Builders and OnBoard Cleveland programs.

The 61 mid-career professionals in the Bridge Builders Class of 2022 come from a variety of public, private, nonprofit, and governmental organizations. The program prepares them for meaningful and impactful civic engagement through relationship-building, collaboration, and hands-on learning. It begins in September 2021 and ends in June 2022.

OnBoard Cleveland is a civic immersion experience for young professionals that enhances communications skills, builds awareness of the civic landscape, and equips them to make a difference in their workplaces and across the community. The 25 participants will meet from September 2021 to March 2022.

“As our community continues to rise to face existing and emerging challenges, we need to be sure leaders at all levels are in place who have the skills, networks, and passion to be forces for positive and sustainable change,” said CLC President and CEO Marianne Crosley.

“Bridge Builders and OnBoarders are important to the continuum of leaders we strive to develop each year. They are our future – and they also are having great impact on our present,” she said.

In June, the Leadership Center announced the 66 senior-level leaders who will participate in the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2022.

Participants in Leadership Cleveland, Cleveland Bridge Builders, and OnBoard Cleveland are selected during a competitive application process. Applications for the next cohorts will be available in February 2022. Visit www.cleveleads.org for details.

Other CLC programs engage civic leaders across the career spectrum, from high school students in the Look Up To Cleveland program to college students (Campus Cleveland), retirees (Legacy Leaders), and adults of any age (Civic Leadership Institute).

The leadership center also offers two forums open to the public: Spark: Grit to Great, a symposium on innovation and design thinking (registration is open for the virtual event on September 2, 2021); and Accelerate: Citizens Make Change, a civic pitch competition each February.
