CLC events

Open to the public

Cleveland Leadership Center events offer unique opportunities for you to learn about civic issues and find ways to become involved.

Accelerate: Citizens Make Change
February 22, 2017
Cleveland Leadership Center launched its annual civic pitch competition in 2015 to give every individual in Cleveland a chance to offer ideas for positively impacting the community, education, economic development, quality of life and arts and culture. Many of the selected presenters have brought their ideas to life and are leaving a mark on the community. Check out past successes, and watch for details this fall about how to submit ideas for Accelerate 2017.

Alumni events

CLC offers opportunities for alumni to extend their class experience and further their civic engagement to promote positive change.

Leadership Cleveland alumni holiday party
November 29, 2016
The annual holiday soiree for LC alumni is back to its regularly scheduled time - the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Same time (6:00 p.m.), same place (Cleveland History Center) as last year. Reconnect with your classmates and make new friends and connections with LC alumni from across the years, ride the Euclid Beach carousel and check out all the cool relics at the museum.

Partner-only opportunities

Lunch with Leaders: Multigenerational women leading our community
November 2, 2016
CLC Partners have the unique opportunity to join Sharon Sobol Jordan (LC 2003), Chief of Staff for Cuyahoga County, and her mother, Marilyn Tobocman, an attorney with the Civil Rights Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s office, for lunch and a candid conversation moderated by Dan Moulthrop (LC 2014), CEO of The City Club of Cleveland. They will share their individual and collective family experience navigating professional success, personal fulfillment and giving back to the community.

Special events
CLC offers Partners a chance at VIP tickets to Cleveland Clinic Ideas for Tomorrow speakers, and admission to other community events (such as Best of Cleveland) from time to time. Partners whose membership is current will receive an email when such opportunities are available.
