Cuyahoga Community College’s Dr. Alex Johnson (LC 2002) will receive the 2018 Central Regional Chief Executive Award at The Association of Community College Trustees’ 48th Leadership Congress. The event will take place in New York this fall. According to an article in Crain’s Cleveland Business, “Johnson is one of five regional award recipients across the country. The award, according to a news release, recognizes “exceptional contributions by community college leaders to meet the needs of their communities.” In particular, Johnson’s nomination highlighted his leadership concerning access, retention and completion. The college’s federally tracked graduation rate has inched upward considerably since Johnson took over five years ago.”
