Elizabeth McIntyre (LC 2006)

Executive Editor, Crain’s Cleveland Business

Elizabeth McIntyre is executive editor of Crain’s Cleveland Business. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, she’s been a journalist in Northeast Ohio for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Crain’s in 2014, she spent 20 years at the Plain Dealer, where she served as graphics and design editor and assistant managing editor before being named deputy managing editor. In that role, Elizabeth directed content development and production for the Metro, Business, Sports and Features departments. A member of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2006, she was inducted into the Press Club of Cleveland Journalism Hall of Fame in 2016.

Elizabeth started her career as a copy editor at The Morning Journal in Lorain. A Youngstown native, she is married to Mike McIntyre, the executive editor of Ideastream Public Media. They have two grown children, Aidan and Maura.
