Since its establishment in May 2025, the Cuyahoga County Office of Violence Prevention has been building a countywide, data-driven approach to public safety, rooted in the belief that prevention is as essential as policing. Learn about the first year of this landmark initiative and Myesha’s vision for addressing the root causes of violence, from trauma and poverty to lack of opportunity, through community-based solutions. Hear firsthand how the office is bringing together municipal leaders, community partners, and public health experts with one shared purpose: to stop violence before it starts.
