Michael Schippper
Deputy General Manager – Engineering and Project Management, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority
Mr. Schipper joined the Authority in July 2001 in this position and has more than 35 years of transportation engineering experience. Prior to joining RTA, he was an Associate Vice President of HNTB Corporation, responsible for their Ohio operations. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and a Master of Engineering Degree from the University of Texas-Arlington.
He is a registered professional engineer in Ohio and Texas. He has served on various boards and professional societies including terms as the President of both the Cleveland Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Cleveland Engineering Society. The Engineering Division includes Engineering/Project Development, Programming/Planning, and Project Support functions.
