A grassroots neighborhood-based digital fabrication lab and co-work space to combat social problems and inequity, such as the tech divide and housing vacancy and abandonment, while providing learning and entrepreneurship opportunities.

August 2, 2019

Recently, the Fab House project:

  • Created The Cleveland Ice Cream Crawl which will take place on Sunday, August 18. Learn more + get your tickets>. Sonya has also created a shareable flyer >
  • Was awarded a Cleveland Bridge Builders LAP project. A team of local mid-career professionals will work on a resident engagement strategy.
  • Extended the deadline for the IOBY fundraising campaign. With access to match funds, they have raised $2,430 of their $10,000 goal. They need just $1,570 to take full advantage of the Neighborhood Connections match funding.
  • Was featured in the Summer 2019 edition of South Euclid Magazine. Read the article >

April 8, 2019

Sonya has started an IOBY campaign to help fund her project. She met her original goal of $2,000, for which she received a $2,000 racial justice match, and has raised the bar to $10,000. Learn more >

She is also using some of her funding to hire a graduate level student for program management support and is putting together an advisory board and ambassador group for the project. She has also been working with IOBY, LaunchHouse, and JumpStart.
