Allison Lukacsy-Love’s career represents an amalgamation of robust experiences and perspectives for equitable redevelopment of the built environment, informed by her architectural training and extensive community placemaking projects. She is a licensed Architect and certified City Planner with advanced degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Cleveland State University.
Allison creatively, collaboratively and tenaciously approaches opportunities and challenges with an inclusive, community-centered mindset to bring urbanist visions from idea to reality. She previously worked as a Project Manager in architecture and real estate development firms in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Shanghai, China.
Allison is a Crain’s Cleveland Business “40 under 40” and one of Cleveland Magazine’s “Most Interesting People”. She currently serves as an elected member of the APA Ohio Board of Trustees as its statewide treasurer and is the founder of the Cleveland chapter of the Awesome Foundation, a microgranting organization that recently surpassed the $50,000 giving mark. She is a board member of “Upcycle Parts Shop”, the “Greater Collinwood Development Corporation” and the Finance Chair for “Assembly for the Arts”.
Allison is nationally recognized for her public art installations that partner with non-profits to advance a social cause, including “Bus Stop Moves”, “Give Box CLE” and “Phone Gallery”: Cleveland’s smallest space for art exhibition inside a once vacant pay phone box.
Allison hails from the East Coast, but considers herself a Clevelander following a move to Ohio’s North Coast in 2011. She lives on the shores of Lake Erie where she enjoys paddleboarding, kayaking, rowing and watching the stunning sunsets.
