PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The 1,000 Ties etiquette program educates inner-city males ages 6-21 on dining etiquette, tying a tie, communication skills, grooming, sportsmanship, proper dress, the art of being a gentleman, and how to be the best version of themselves.

The 2021 1,000 Ties event will take place as two drive thru/walk up events:
- March 25, 2021, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at Wade Park Elementary
- April 9, 2021, 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. at Garrett Morgan School
The distribution will include free hygiene kits, ties, books, lunches, diapers, school supplies, face masks, and more.

The Cleveland NFL Alumni have partnered with 1000 Ties. The Alumni will work with mentees to help them develop confidence and build their networking, communication, and social skills.
October 15, 2020
The 1,000 Ties STEM Mentorship Program will begin in January 2021 at the Cuyahoga Community College Metro campus. Applications for the program – for young men ages 11-16 – open in November 2020.

1,000 Ties has received it’s 501(c)(3) certification.
May 15, 2020
In lieu of handing out hygiene kits at the etiquette class, now being offered virtually, due to the pandemic, 1,000 Ties will now be distributing the kits directly to the community. They are starting in South Euclid the first week of June. They also continue to collect ties and have applied for 501(c)(3) status.
