City Year Cleveland will recognize City of Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams (LC 2017) by awarding him City Year’s highest honor, Idealist of the Year, on April 26, 2018 at the Rock the Red Jacket Gala. According to City Year’s event page for the gala, “Chief Williams and City Year Cleveland share a love for the Cleveland Community. Chief Williams has played a pivotal role in safeguarding and advocating for the communities in which we serve.”
