Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2020 named

Program’s 20th anniversary to be celebrated in 2020

The Cleveland Leadership Center has named a diverse mix of nonprofit, for-profit and public sector leaders as the Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2020. They will become the 20th class to participate in the highly selective 10-month leadership program.

Cleveland Bridge Builders prepares mid-career professionals of all ages for meaningful, fulfilling, and impactful engagement in the community. The program provides a unique environment that fosters teamwork, growth, and learning to create a transformative experience that inspires participants to take on greater roles in addressing community issues.

“Bridge Builders is a catalyst for participants to make a greater civic impact. The program helps them hone leadership skills, increase self-awareness, gain a greater understanding of collaboration, and develop personal civic visions,” said CLC President and CEO Marianne Crosley.

The curriculum offers facilitated learning, experiential collaboration, and interactive civic education that helps participants engage in self-discovery and build bonds with classmates and the extended Cleveland Leadership Center network.

Class of 2020 members will be divided into small teams to work with community organizations on Leadership Action Projects that address unique needs of the organizations. The experience enables class participants to immediately apply newly learned skills and approaches to civic leadership.

The program year begins with a retreat this September and concludes with commencement in June 2020. Throughout the year, participants will join with more than 1,000 Bridge Builder alumni to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the program. Graduates become part of a network of more than 8,700 living alums of all other Cleveland Leadership Center programs who are committed to making positive change in the region.
