Cleveland.com covered the October 2018 Dare2Care workshop at Lakewood High School. Dare2Care (now called Dare2Lead) is a school-based anti-bullying program that creates sustainable advancements toward the vision of communities free of harassment, brutality, and indifference.

Chris Brookholt, a Lakewood High School English teacher who took part in the Dare2Care event, shared in the article, “Once you push through a lot of that stuff, you feel a connection to people that typically you wouldn’t because of those things. So it’s really powerful to see these kids from so many different backgrounds — racially, ethnically, economically, socially — together in a room and to leave feeling a sense of unity. It’s just one of the reasons I keep doing it and keep working with them.”
