Elizabeth McIntyre on the need for an investment in community leadership

In her February 3 article, Leaders are made, not born, Crain’s Cleveland Business’ Publisher Elizabeth McIntyre advocates for investing in leadership, both for the sake of your business and our community on whole.

“Those currently in leadership positions have an obligation, a duty, to provide the next generation with the necessary skills, guidance and experiences to one day take the reins. That begins by hiring the best talent we can and then recognizing that it takes time and attention to help these high-potential men and women to develop the necessary skills to become leaders in our businesses, teams, organizations and government agencies.”

She also advocated for enrolling employees in Cleveland Bridge Builders and Leadership Cleveland as a way to groom those with potential.
