The Greater Akron Chamber cordially invites you to join us for its 2021 Candidates Conference & Leadership Reception. This unique opportunity enables attendees to connect with key stakeholders and elected officials, both professionally and socially. This will be a great setting to both share your perspective(s) on key issues and network with those who make decisions at the local, state, and federal level.
This upcoming Candidates Conference is an in-person panel discussion featuring Republican candidates seeking to replace U.S. Senator Rob Portman. All discussion and Q&A will be moderated by the University of Akron’s Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics. Each candidate will provide welcoming remarks and engage in Q&A with those in attendance. As with previous Candidate Conferences in the past, a separate dedicated event is being planned for Democratic candidates.
Our Leadership Reception is a social gathering of business executives, higher education leaders, elected officials, candidates, economic development professionals, young professionals, community stakeholders and nonprofit organizations. Starting immediately after the Candidates Conference concludes, drinks and heavy appetizers will be served, and all attendees will have an opportunity to network with key leaders.
