Representation matters: children’s edition
Children’s books have historically lacked representation. Thea will share why it is important for children to see characters that are like them in books and how the Book Bank is helping to elevate local authors who have written books that include diverse characters. She will also review the Books Like Me campaign and share ongoing ways to support this work.
