Flight Club

Justo Karell & Evan Harri pitched their idea for the Flight Club, a program to teach underprivileged youths in Cleveland the basic concepts of flight, mechanics, and engineering at Accelerate 2015. Their concept used simple, yet fun and engaging lessons followed by assisted, hands on construction of the student’s very own quadcopters. Their hope was to increase interest in STEM fields among youths who would never have this opportunity.

After Accelerate, they went on to earn honorable mention and $1,500 in the Spartan Challenge at CWRU, as well as $1,000 in the EEC IdeaLabs regional competition.
