According to Pam, “We’ve featured over 500 people and organizations on the WISH Cleveland site since it was launched. In 2017 we had 7,111 site visits and 12,229 page views (the whole year). Already in 2018, we’ve had 6,045 site visits and 10,518 page views as of Oct. 1. The biggest thing going on with WISH Cleveland is an event that we just announced today: #GivingTuesdayCLE, a citywide day of giving on Nov. 27. Cleveland Neighborhood Progress is our fiscal agent, and we’re having a big party at Red Space to watch our total donations add up! We are dreaming big for this one and anticipate that at least 25 nonprofits will work together to raise a collective goal of $250,000.”

Pam Turos pitched her idea for a powerful online presence for nonprofits and social entrepreneurs by connecting good causes with the money and resources to share their message with the world.
Using the seed money she earned as a runner-up at the event, Pam launched a blog just four months after Accelerate. The site provides ways for visitors to support nonprofits and other social causes, and inspires them to be involved. By fall 2016, she had featured over 100 organizations, including content and publicity for three crowd-funding campaigns that raised nearly $50,000, and published 33 articles or posts including many guest contributors. The “Good Cause Weekly” blog has a 36% open rate and 9% click through rate – both nearly double media industry standards.
Pam also collaborated with Literary Cleveland – a project born out of an Accelerate 2015 pitch by Lee Chilcote and Amy Rosenbluth – to host storytelling workshops.
In Spring 2017, Good Cause CLE underwent a re-branding and became WISH Cleveland. Follow WISH Cleveland on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with their progress and to stay up-to-date on Cleveland’s nonprofit realm.
