Good Cause CLE: A Creative Partner in Digital Marketing

Pam Turos pitched her idea for a powerful online presence for nonprofits and social entrepreneurs by connecting good causes with the money and resources to share their message with the world.

Using the seed money she earned as a runner-up at the event, Pam launched a blog just four months after Accelerate. The site provides ways for visitors to support nonprofits and other social causes, and inspires them to be involved. By fall 2016, she had featured over 100 organizations, including content and publicity for three crowd-funding campaigns that raised nearly $50,000, and published 33 articles or posts including many guest contributors. The “Good Cause Weekly” blog has a 36% open rate and 9% click through rate – both nearly double media industry standards.

Pam also collaborated with Literary Cleveland – a project born out of an Accelerate 2015 pitch by Lee Chilcote and Amy Rosenbluth – to host storytelling workshops.
