Kirsten Ellenbogen appointed to national science committee

Kirsten Ellenbogen (LC 2014) was recently appointed to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine committee – a newly formed committee to improve science communication nationwide.

According to a news release from the Great Lakes Science Center, where Kirsten is president and CEO, the committee “was created to build upon the strong response to the recent National Academies report, ‘Communicating Science Effectively: A Research Agenda,’ and build a network of scientists, funders and other stakeholders across a range of disciplines. The committee’s work will build a more coherent knowledge base for the field and make it easier for science communication practitioners to access and use research.”
