Stokes CLI public safety dialogue featured on Cleveland.com

The community dialogue was featured as one of a number of events for Reentry Awareness Week.

Join the Stokes Civic Leadership Institue Fellows & Cuyahoga Community College for a panel discussion about The Ohio Neighborhood Safety, Drug Treatment, and Rehabilitation Amendment.

Panelists include Crystal Bryant, the Director of the Office of Reentry, DaMareo Cooper, the Director of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, and Michael O’Malley, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor.

The proposed constitutional amendment is meant to reduce the number of people incarcerated in state prisons for low-level drug possession crimes or non-criminal probation violations. It will redirect resulting state savings toward increased community-based addiction treatment and support programs for youth and adults.

The event, free and open to the public, will take place:
Monday, April 23
6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Jerry Sue Thornton Center
