Therapals: Pay it Forward Approach to Learning

Mollie Verdier

2015 Finalist
Educating for Tomorrow category

TheraPals is an online therapeutic approach, created by Mollie Verdier, to using video modeling for children with special needs and it provides a social platform to promote friendship, practice social skills and encourage Peer to Peer learning and teaching with children with similar abilities through a Skype like technology with children across the world. Mollie pitched her idea at Accelerate 2015 and was a runner-up.

After Accelerate, Mollie became one of six finalists selected from among 4,000 applicants to pitch at the Miller Lite Tap the Future business competition in Detroit on July 9, 2015, hosted by Daymond John of ABC’s “Shark Tank.” She also was featured in CBC Magazine’s November 2015 issue for the difference TheraPals is making for children with special needs.
