Tim Tramble (LC 2010)

President & CEO, Saint Luke’s Foundation of Cleveland

Tim became the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Saint Luke’s Foundation on June 1, 2020. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing and guiding the work of the foundation to advance the pursuit of health equity in the Saint Luke’s neighborhoods and throughout Cuyahoga County.

Tim’s primary goal upon his hire was to bring the Foundation’s health equity goals to life. He has operationalized equity by building a culturally competent, community-facing team of reputable and purpose driven community stakeholders. Tim and his dynamic team have modeled participatory philanthropy through the establishment of Lift Every Voice community engagement platform. The team has shifted and shared power by making the concept of a resident led decision-making body a reality, where the Resident Advancement Committee, comprised entirely of residents of the Saint Luke’s footprint, has full authority over the Foundation’s community grant awards.

Before joining the foundation, Tim served as a highly regarded leader in the field of community development. While forging the growth of Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. (BBC), Tim oversaw multimillion-dollar real estate development projects in Cleveland’s poorest neighborhoods, founded WOVU 95.9FM Community Radio Station, and led the creation of BoxSpot micro-enterprise development in addition to many other innovative community revitalization programs and projects. Before joining BBC, Tim spent five years in various roles at the Cleveland Department of Public Health.

Tim is a proud graduate of East High, a closed school of the Cleveland Municipal School District (CMSD). He is a graduate of Central State University, Ohio’s only public HBCU, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. He is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council. Tim earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Cleveland State University where he also earned his graduate certification in Non-profit Management.

Among many awards and accolades, Tim has received the NAACP Corporate Leadership Award, Ohio Finance Fund’s Meritorious Community Service Award, Central State University Alumni Hall of Fame, Cleveland State University Outstanding Public Service Award, 100 Black Men Economic Empowerment Award, City of Cleveland Key to the City by Mayor Frank Jackson, and an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Cuyahoga Community College.

Tim was born and raised in the Hough neighborhood of Cleveland and resides in the Fairfax neighborhood of Cleveland with his wife Latrice and daughter Tierra.
