Look Up To Cleveland (LookUp) Summer increases high school students' civic awareness and appreciation for their community, and enhances their teamwork, collaboration and project planning skills.
The program is offered twice each summer, one week in June and one week in July. Summer Session candidates must be entering their junior or senior year in the fall. Tuition for the week is $350. Financial assistance is available. Applications open March 1 and remain open until each session is full.

Explore a prominent Cleveland neighborhood in a fun, experiential way and create connections with diverse peer leaders from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
Learn about team dynamics and identify personal strengths and areas for growth. Explore multiple Cleveland neighborhoods and hear how others are addressing pressing community issues.
Discover the importance of making a good first impression and networking. Discuss the city’s goals and challenges with Mayor Jackson and learn about the Federal Government’s role in the community.
Learn about interpersonal dynamics and gain goal setting and time management skills. Hear about community needs and how to address them, and engage in community service.
Get a historical perspective of Cleveland and hear about new innovations advancing the city. Interact with community leaders and discover Cleveland’s prominent arts and culture scene.
Admission is through a selective application process for students who demonstrate leadership ability, participate in school/community organizations and clubs, exhibit academic soundness, and show self-reliance and initiative. In addition to completing the online application, students must commit to the attendance policies. Applications are reviewed as they are received; early submission is advised.
